1. What kind of arts activities do you currently participate in (for example, drama, music, arts, writing, crafts, filmmaking, dancing)?

Musical Theatre Company

2. Why do you participate in arts activities?

To ensure that communities continue to have affordable activities in the arts outside of school, which can continue throughout adulthood.

3. Has arts provision been withdrawn in your area because of budget cuts?

Yes

4. If so, how has this affected you?

There are no longer the local county brass bands / choirs available to progress to, and attend courses, as there were when I was in school.

5. Do you think that people have enough opportunity to participate in arts activities in your area?

No - most arts activities are run by private companies, who are able to charge what they like, which obviously limits the attendance to people who are able to afford it, rather than be subsidised which would make them accessible to all.

6. Would anything help you to participate more in the arts?

Proper funded / subsidised activities run by the local authorities, rather than via companies.

7. What might stop you from taking part in arts activities (for example, accessibility)?

Lack of finance.
